Recycling is complicated by the fact that items must be sorted and source-separated by material streams before they can be properly sent to the correct recycling destination. Here, Jinpeng Tsai proposes a "single material" movement whereby manufacturers create goods using only one type of raw material.
在台灣每分鐘有400件舊衣物被丟棄，相當於一間中型服飾店的總量。雖然我們可以減少購買、選擇品質更好或回收再製的產品，但多數物品因由不同材質組成，造成回收與再製困難，最終仍難逃成為垃圾的命運。「單一材質」的設計理念，以高回收率的寶特瓶為原料製作包包，將可使製成品不斷被回收利用，同時也為我們留下更好的生活環境給我們的下一代。
