Dear global leaders, who are you referring to when mentioning ‘we’ or ‘our people’, while preaching? Does ‘WE’ and ‘OUR PEOPLE’ lie in uniting the whole of civil society, or will it stay limited to where it is now, as it is just western privileged society. If that's the case, then real leadership and unity can only be found with the people.
How can the black, indigenous and people of colour community belong to your WE when there is a widespread failure to recognize the political and socio-economic causes of climate related crises.
This talk counters the emotional real life affects of the climate crises connected to its social issues in our current societal system.
As negotiations are taking place and agreements are being signed that contradict the very existence of human rights and our planet's health. The climate clock counts down to be able to reach 1.5C. Our carbon budget counts down. It is an emergency. World leaders act like it!
