Could You Change a Person's Life in 20 Seconds?

Humans need connection. We see this especially during their most troubled or vulnerable times. In grief, we give each other the longest, tightest hugs. It is often at funerals where we see people who are not family or intimate partners embrace for longer than 20 seconds. But why is that the only time? There are many scientifically proven benefits of touch, including 20-second hugs, which foster rejuvenation, stress reduction, joy, trust, self-esteem and much more. Bobby asks the question, “What if we started pro-actively engaging in a daily 20-second hug?” Hugs have a deep, rich and complex history. Our relationship with them is shaped by our family, culture and early childhood memories.
