TEDxEncompassHK
• October 2020
Education organisations are at the forefront of the challenge of developing young, impressionable minds into global citizens with social consciousness, passion and strong commitment to become changemakers. In Arnett’s talk, he walks the audience through how the relatively small yet culturally rich community of 250 students from 90 countries at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong brings together in creating an impact on the environment and the world. Arnett shares about the different youth programmes that untangle the concepts of conflict management, peace-making, and Sino-Japan relations. And he inspires similar initiatives with his discussion on how the College has started to generate HK1.9 million in annual revenues for its scholarship programme from its solar power system project, certified as the largest of its kind.
