Theme: An Essential Evening with Eames
June 28th, 2013
About this event
The legendary design team Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important American designers of the 20th century. They are best known for their groundbreaking contributions to architecture, furniture design, industrial design and manufacturing, and the photographic arts.
In this special event, Eames Demetrios, their grandson, will share in a lively, loving tribute and insight into their life, creativity and work.
Eames is also a TED speaker and is active in preserving the Eames legacy, as principal of the Eames Office, a clearinghouse of resources for researching, shopping and exploring the work of these legendary creative people. Eames was instrumental in creating the interactive version of the Eames' groundbreaking film Powers of Ten.
This dinner party and talk was limited to fewer than 80 guests to enable close conversations
