TEDxStockholmSalon happens three to four times a year as a complement to the big annual TEDxStockholm. The Salon events are shaped in a smaller format, they last only for two hours and do not host more than 100 listeners. Three speakers share their inspiring stories complemented with the presentation of a TED talk covering a diverse topic, and mingling sessions during the breaks.

Allie Edwardsson

Allie is a speaker, facilitator and coach. She has more than 25 years’ experience helping managers and leaders succeed with their international communication. Allie was born in England and has lived in Sweden for the past 25 years. She has also lived and worked in a number of other countries including Japan and the USA. Allie’s company is called One Degree AB (www.onedegree.se) with the motto “small change – big difference”. She helps people make changes in intercultural communication, presentations and time management. Allie's book on small talk and cracking the code of intercultural communication will be published by Liber in the autumn.

Owen Gaffney

Owen is a science writer, journalist and director of communications of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme, in Stockholm. Author of the Anthropocene Journal. He analyses and writes about global social and economic trends and changes in the Earth’s life support system – the atmosphere, oceans, ice sheets, waterways and ecosystems that combine to provide a healthy environment for humans, and all other life on Earth

Patrick Ståhle

Patrick is a highly experienced international director in the global media and advertising industry with a specialty in corporate turn-arounds, business and marketing strategies. Having also been involved in international Swedish sport challenges and welfare projects, Patrick Ståhle now serves as Chairman of the Board in Mercuri International, Lighthouse Group, NCS Colour and Expressions of Humankind Foundation. Patrick is a non-executive director in Metro International SA and a consultant in China with Charm Communication Inc (NASDAQ US). Patrick is married to Ylva, an assistant professor at Stockholm University and has three grown-up boys.
