Theme: Smart Societies

Under the theme Smarter Societies,TEDxChiangMai 2013 had 55 speakers and performers (24 talks) on its stage. Speakers included scientists, activists, policy makers, researchers, social entrepreneurs, technologists, environmentalists, business people and artists; working on making our societies smarter – smarter means: intelligent, competitive, rich in opportunities, sustainable, attractive, beautiful, and liveable. One session will focus on the ASEAN through the invitation of speakers from other ASEAN countries. Five of the speakers were students from schools - selected through pilot program with the aim to promote TEDx event at schools in Thailand and give the next generation a change to share their ideas on the big TEDxChiangMai stage. The event was actually held at Le Meridien Chiang Mai Hotel.....
