About this event
We'll talk about Positive Disruption and how it applies to Matrix and our colleagues.
Speaker 1: A review of disruption at Matrix and how our focus on innovation through integration is building an integrated business platform that supports the work of operations. This is being achieved through the integration of systems, process and people - not just technology.
Mike Morley’s goal is to leverage the power of technology to connect people at Matrix Solutions, a rapidly growing Environmental and Engineering Consulting firm based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. With over 25 years of experience in the software industry, Mike delivers the vision of a connected enterprise by working collaborating closely with Matrix business leaders aligning IT systems with the business vision, amplifying the values of the organization through technology. Mike leads change and enables successful growth at Matrix by deploying technology that reduces organizational silos and connects people to people. Mike has lead the vision, creation and successful deployment of integrated enterprise systems using Agile and Lean methods to organizations throughout his career. Mike holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Geological Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Kent Brockman is what you get when you mix together a problem solver, a tinkerer, a science enthusiast and an insatiable appetite for learning new things. A graduate from the University of Waterloo’s Nanotechnology Engineering program, Kent has lived in more domains than you can shake a stick at; graphics card development, medical device manufacturing, on-silicon device processing, homebrew electronics, robotics and software development – just to name a handful. Now he’s applying this experience to solving problems faced by the environmental engineering consulting firm Matrix Solutions. He’s here to deliver business value by wrangling together science, technology and design, chasing down problems and generally trying to walk that fine line between engineer and cowboy.
A long standing Matrix Employee who has gone through and been disrupted many times (some Positive) in his time at Matrix. His daily focus is on improving efficiencies and reducing barriers to conducting work, and committed to long term sustainable focused innovation, building towards disruptive change at the business level.
