Ryan McKelley

Dr. Ryan McKelley is a licensed psychologist who is dedicated to understanding people. This is noticeable in his career as an associate professor of clinical counseling psychology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In this talk, Dr. McKelley shares a message about a particular societal norm and it's impact on young boys. His message mirrors turning points as he talks about the developmental changes from age to age, and the need for those changes to be acknowledged.

Dawn Rouse

Dr. Dawn Rouse earned her Ph. D. in early childhood education. She began her career as a preschool teacher, and is now a professor of education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In this talk, she shares a playful message for us tonight which expresses the lessons we can learn from children and the need to mold behavior at a young age. Ultimately, her message helps us understand that sometimes what we plan and what we are good at will diverge; and those are our turning points.

Bee Lo

Dr. Bee Lo wants to help all of us ditch the internet as a way to self-diagnose common medical conditions, and instead become our own physicians. Dr. Lo is an instructor at the University if Wisconsin- La Crosse who has studied family medicine, chiropractic medicine, nutrition, massage, allergy medicine, acupuncture, and so much more. He is a physician who believes in all healing modalities including the use of conventional medicine and alternative healing methods to help his patients overcome their health conditions. Asthma, migraines, joint pain, and other common conditions can be treated and relieved through innovative non-invasive techniques.

Dewayne Wrencher

Dewayne Wrencher is an Art major at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a minor Ethnic and Racial Studies. His passion is not only expressed through his two-dimensional, thought-provoking art pieces, but through his spoken word performances and his Universal Family FAM website. In this talk, Dewayne will share part of his personal journey and the turning point when he became self aware of the image he was projecting of himself. Bishops, knights, kings and pawns. Dewayne Wrencher would like to invite all of us into a mental game of chess.

Jim Jorstad

Jim Jorstad is a talented man who is a journalist and film maker for news outlets including CNN, MSNBC, blogs, and more. His expertise in social media was acknowledged when he received the 2013 CNN iReport Spirit Award for his journalism; He is an innovative technologist who is creative and passionate. In this talk, Jim explains to us that social media isn’t just about knowing what people are up to, but it is a way to share personal stories
