  • Jon "Maddog" Hall
    Jon "Maddog" Hall is the Executive Director of Linux International, an association of computer users who wish to support and promote the Linux Operating System. During his career in commercial computing, which started in 1969, Jon Hall has been a programmer, systems designer, systems administrator, product manager, technical marketing manager, author and educator. He is an advocate of free and open-source software, on which he consulted the governments of China, Malaysia and Brasil as well as the United Nations and many local and state governments. He currently works as an independent consultant as well as bringing environmentally friendly computing to emerging marketplaces through Project Cauã.
  • Ruganzu Bruno
    TED Prize winner Ruganzu Bruno is a 29-year old eco-artist from Uganda as well as the founding curator of TEDxKampala. In addition to being the winner of the first City 2.0 Award, Tusingwire is a 2011 Young Achievers award winner and a lecturer in the Department of Art & Design at Kyambogo University. His big idea is to use waste materials to create a movable amusement park for children living in slums of Kampala. He is using the City 2.0 Award to grow his local TEDx community, grow an woman eco-artist loan program already supporting 15 women to develop their business ideas, and expand the amusement park from a single plane-shaped sculpture made of recycled plastic bottles into a permanent park.
  • Abhishek Suryawanshi
    Abhishek Suryawanshi loves to do things differently. He did research on "Suction Method of irrigation" for farmers. He presented his work and research at National Children Science Congress (2004) held at Guwahati in presence of then President Hon.Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. He was also exclusively selected from Maharashtra by Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India) to represent state in special program "Hum Honge Kaamyab - T.V series for Young Scientists" which was telecasted on National Television. He is Curator and Licensee for TEDxPune, Also Ambassador for Wikipedia.
  • Allam El Nour Osman Ahmed
    Professor Allam completed his Ph.D. in Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development at Edinburgh Napier University, UK. He obtained his MSc/MBA from the Royal Agricultural College University, UK and awarded the RAC Scholarship and Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation. He is a Fellow and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Allam is the Founding Director of the Middle Eastern Knowledge Economy Institute (MEKEI), University of Brighton, UK and is based at the Science and Technology Policy Research - SPRU (world leader in research, consultancy and teaching in the field of Science and Technology Policy) University of Sussex, where he established and lead the postgraduate programme MSc International Management. In 2009 he was appointed to lead the Government of Abu Dhabi major and first of its kind in the Middle East Knowledge Management Framework (Musharaka). He has been fortunate enough to have a wide variety of teaching and professional experiences across the world. He has published widely on how knowledge and technology transfer (TT) contribute to Sustainable Development (SD) and competitiveness in the developing countries. Allam produced more than 120 publications, including eighteen books, numerous articles on knowledge and technology transfer and management, SD, marketing and policy reports on sustainability and competitiveness. He is the recipient of several international Awards and Medals for contribution to International scientific Research and listed in the WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD 2009-2014, WHO'S WHO IN FINANCE and BUSINESS 2009/2010 and WHO'S WHO IN AMERICA 2012 published by Marquis Who's Who, USA. For more than 20 years, Allam has presented many keynote and public speeches to a wide range of audience across the world. Allam has consulted extensively for the World Bank, UN, EU and for various governments, in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
  • Husam Elnasri
    Husam Elnasri has more than twelve years of experience with Private, Non Profit Sector and Public Sectors in the areas of CSR, Rural Development and Stakeholder Management at different strategic capacities. He Achieved his BSc and MSc from the faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Khartoum as well as a Post Graduate Degree from the University of Geneva on Corporate Responsibility. In 2012, he was awarded an MBA degree from Lancaster University, UK where he was achieved four awards from the University of Lancaster. He was also awarded the internal MBA Student of the Year from the International Association of MBAs in a competition out of 200 global business schools. He is now working as a senior project manager for DAL Group.
  • Abualabass Elmahdi Mustafa
    Abualabass Elmahdi is an IT professional; a Computer Science and Statistical Analysis graduate. He dedicated most of his time to managing, monitoring and evaluating charity works. For the last two years, he directed his efforts to the education of blind children and thus offering hope and support to this segment of the society. Driven by his passion, he managed to play a role by providing educational and psychological support to sightless children and assisted with the importation of educational kits to facilitate their learning.
  • Bhaskar Chakravorti
    Bhaskar Chakravorti is an Indian professional in Pharmaceutical Marketing with over thirty years of experience. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physiology and is a holder of an MBA. He worked in multinational companies such as Pfizer and Indian majors as Cipla. He joined Micro Labs Ltd, Sudan as a Country Manager and was promoted to Vice President. Based in Sudan for the last ten years, he stated that he has been sharing his knowledge and putting it into action by training and developing Pharmacists in Sudan and introducing innovative channels of pharmaceutical marketing with an emphasis on digital marketing. He has a passion for photography and blogging.
  • Nour Hussein Elasouity
    Nour Hussein is a mother of five and an unbeaten Activist. She is a holder of a degree in Business Administration and Secretarial Studies from Jordan. She held different posts in a number of local and international NGOs based in Khartoum. Nour participated in countless workshops in Sudan, UAE and Lebanon and appeared on several local and regional TV shows. She is currently running her own charity organization “Shamaa” in support of the discriminated adult orphans. She produced three short films on abandoned children and infants’ exposure as well as being a Speaker in related conferences. At present, she living the dream she struggled for by achieving numerous success stories since 2007. The British author and award-winning Journalist Wendy Wallace wrote a book about Nour called “Daughter of Dust” thus, unfolding her story and recounting the torments she went through and how she managed to transform to the “Iron Lady” she is today.
  • Hytham Abdel-Aziz
    Hytham Abdel-Aziz an Egyptian Dentist, is working as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University and is also the Program Director of extracurricular activities (credit hour program). He is in charge of “Sehatna” (Our Health) Team; Egypt’s health promotion program in Alexandria. Dr. Hytham participated in several civil society activities in Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, India, the United States, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. He structured the first specialized medical simulation model in Egypt. In principal, it is mainly concerned with the simulation of different health care systems under the umbrella of trainings and extracurricular activities mixed up with career, personal development and life coaching. Finding fascination in cultural variation, he studied and practicing peace education, conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, thus, supplementing the academic background with different scientific researches and academic participation in international congresses. He finds his mission in establishing a balanced eastern role model for the youth of the region maintaining the synergy of success into variant spectrums of life.
  • Sarah Mohammed Akasha
    Sarah Akasha is a teenage from Wadi Halfa, Northern Sudan. She is a Medical Student at the University of Khartoum. She has a passion for learning languages and swimming. When she was thirteen, she unexpectedly came first in an international swimming competition for ladies back-stroke. She enjoys experiencing new activities and exciting ventures offered by life. Sara is involved in some charity works, for instance “Education beyond Borders” and “Ghada Award” organizations. Her medical course is not yet determined, but she is confident about one thing and that is achieving greatness is inevitable wherever she goes.
  • Dimah Gasim
    Dimah Gasim is a Communications and Projects Officer at a development organization in Sudan. She is also a founding member of a Sudanese youth-led grassroots environment group of over one-thousand members. With a liberal arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, Dimah’s diverse professional experience includes teaching and advocating for children and young adults, strategic planning, and she has a noteworthy background in the arts and design.
  • Sudan Drums (Performance)
    Mustafa Khogali was a Speaker in the first ever TEDxKhartoum 2011. He established “Sudan Drums” in 2009, as a self-development initiative for youth, men, women, groups and organizations. The African drum has a history of being the oldest tool of communication and conflict resolution. You can be shown and trained on how to overcome the most basic conflict in life (the inner conflict) through this ancient tool of African heritage.
  • Hytham Abdelaziz Mohamed El Attar
    Hytham Abdelaziz Mohamed El Attar works as an Instructor at Faculty of Dentistry for Alexandria University and Program director of the extracurricular Activities, Credit hour program, Faculty of Dentistry. Presides Se7etna Egypt health promotion teams. Hytham has taken part in several civil society activities nationally and internationally in Egyptian governorates, Sudan, Kenya, India, the United states, Czech Republic and Bulgaria.   • Ayman Gafar Dafa-Alla
    Ayman graduated with Bsc. in Information technology from UST, Khartoum, Sudan. He is a passionate Artist , singer and guitar player , football player, founder and owner of a technology store . He works in media team and the singer of TEDxKhartoum song ( knowledge into action ), His passion is music , He is trying to improve the society through art.
  • Sarah Omer Hamid
    Sarah Omer a fifth year medical student at Ahfad University for Women. She is a three times winner of Ahfad University’s Women's Week Debate Competition and a winner of the 2012 Personas Annual Varsity English Debate. When she is not involved in debating or glued to her desk studying the pathphysiology of diabetes or the mechanism of vomiting. She is obsessed with classics and sci-fi novels, thus, releasing her imagination through writing. She considers herself as a half-full glass type of person; very opinionated, argumentative and a strong believer in the law of attraction.
  • Iman Mutwakil
    Iman Mutwakil participated in a number of cultural and literary events held at her Hajer Primary School in Doha and was also the Sudanese Students Representative in Qatar. She appeared in several cultural events, programs and forums at the university level in Sudan. She was the Cultural Secretary for “Razaz Cultural Association” and the “Medical Laboratories Cultural Association” at the University of Sudan. She is a founding member of “Rihat Albon Forum” (Smell of Coffee). Iman has a collection of poems (divan) called “You are number one”.
