Theme: Dream Big...Then Do It!!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Daniel Hodges

Daniel Hodges is an eighth grader at Rapid Run Middle School and has been in ekids for over one year. Daniel plays percussion for the school band and is in expert groups like Jr. CYWE (Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble) and Honor Band ever since he was in the seventh grade. He really likes technology and believes that it is essential for society to grow and advance.

Jamie Schorsch

Jamie Schorsch holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Art Education with PK-21 licensure in Art Education of the University of Cincinnati’s college of D.A.A.P. Jamie’s teaching experience has been widely varied and includes working with students ranging in ages from 5-18, private and public institutions, and both inner city and suburban schools. Jamie has taught at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, and Cincinnati Public Schools, and is currently employed as an art teacher at Oak Hills High School where she serves as Art Department Program Coordinator.

Rupie Spraul

Rupie Spraul is 16 years old and he is a junior at Oak Hills High School. Currently, Rupie is enrolled in Studio Art AP. Rupie has worked for two consecutive years as an apprentice artist for ArtWorks on ArtCars, the Helentown Mural, and the Corryville Mural. Rupie is very involved in the visual and performing arts, and plans on pursuing a career in one of the two.
