Welcome to the TEDxNewYork community! TEDxNewYork is a salon format TEDx event. We spend an hour each week watching a TED talk on a large screen, and discussing it in a dynamic group of New Yorkers. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxNewYork brings together a community of people from diverse professions and backgrounds weekly to spark rich conversations with friends, and exchange ideas through new networks. Please join us, and bring friends!

We do not announce talks ahead of time-- this is both because the news of the day may prompt us to show something different than what we'd planned, and also because the surprise element brings people with a variety of interests to the conversation. We mix up the themes of the talks each week.
