Theme: The Food Movement
Toronto, ON, Canada
August 14th, 2012
About this event
The TEDxToronto Salon Series provides a fun and interactive space for the public to share innovative ideas and to discuss social issues.
Join us for our second salon this year on the topic "Epicurious: How Food Affects Us and How We Can Affect Food".
We will be weighing in on what's wrong with the way we eat now and how it is putting our planet at risk. Through an exploration of the food production and the development of new food movements we will look at how our lifestyles and the culture of mass consumption that we live in impacts not only our bodies, but also the planet.
To whet our mental pallet, this TEDxToronto Salon will have a surprise gastronomy expert respond to the hot topics of the 'organic' food movement, the world of processed and healthy food, and perhaps pass on some intriguing epicurean tips.
