About this event

This event has a title which can be interpreted broadly. It is about integrity, community, compassion, sincerity, love in different forms. Its about our deepest visceral truths. We hope to celebrate what is possible through the connections we make. This event takes place at a venue named Muxima, meaning 'heart' in Kimbundu, home to a vibrant local community.

  • Anne McCrossan
    Founder @VisceralBiz & TEDxster reframing organisation, social business and brands. At TedxBow she will talk about the healing power of communities, new forms of community and the potential of the connections we make.
  • Anise Bullimore
    Anise discovered art therapy for the first time in her journey to overcome breast cancer. She talks about the power of art to heal and to understand our emotions, her experiences with the Macmillan team. Her focus is how we can all appreciate the different functions of art and use creativity in our own lives.
  • Ben Crellin
    An establised comic of over 20 years with regular sell out shows at Edinburgh festival and a Bow resident, Ben shares with us the power of comedy. He explains and relives his journey to become a comedian and mixes laughter with more challenging and thought-provoking ideas about how we see our modern world.
  • Lloyd Davis
    Lloyd says, 'I help people be themselves and get things done. Most comfortable at the edge. I draw the best out of large groups, small teams and individuals one-to-one. A big part of the successful #wewill gather project, aspiring simply to, 'get people together to do good things.'
