About this event

TEDxRichmondHill is the very first TEDx conference in all of York Region, despite there having been numerous events in Toronto and other nearby communities. This conference will take place on August 28th, 2012, at the Richmond Hill Center for the Performing Arts. The theme for this years conference has been selected as Transition to Tomorrow, and we believe that all those attending will be extremely pleased with the speakers and overall atmosphere of the conference.
Due to licencing restrictions from TEDx for our event, we are only able to accommodate 100 attendees. In order to provide the best experience for all those in attendance, as well as to give everyone equal opportunity, we have decided to use an application form to select these 100 individuals. As well, we are working very hard to keep the cost of the tickets to a minimum, and our goal currently is to keep it capped at 50 dollars per patron.
As well, in order to encourage youth involvement and participation in the community, we have selected this conference as the venue for showcasing the Top 8 student speakers from all over the region.
