About this event
TEDxYouth@Orlando believes in providing kids with wonderful opportunities in the spirit of TED conferences. “Night at the Museum,” our first conference, celebrated youth empowerment and science’s wonders. The conference took place on Friday evening, April 27 through the morning of Saturday, April 28, 2012. Students ages 9-14 and adult chaperones enjoyed TEDtalks in the evening, followed by Orlando Science Center tours and activities.
Ladies slept in the exhibit “Our Planet, Our Universe,” the Center’s space exhibit. Gentlemen slept in Dino Digs, the dinosaur exhibit. Saturday morning included a movie at the Center’s Cinedome. The Center’s on-site SubWay provided dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning. Kids and chaperones left with goodie bags full of invitations and passes to enjoy other cultural events throughout Central Florida.
