In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ahmed Tarek

Ahmed Tarek is a first year Engineering student. He is interested in scientific activities, he joined the summer workshops held by Planetarium Science Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina since he was young. That’s why he participated in many National and International Science fairs. He participated in Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, got a certificate of appreciation from the United States Navy and Marine Corps. He also won the Silver medal with his team in the International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) held in Istanbul, Turkey. He won the award "The best Young Inventor Award" with his team from the "World Intellectual Property Organization (WEPO)" in the “Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace". He had two Egyptian patents. Ahmed is also interested in “Science Communication” which is a new method in delivering scientific information in a simple way to normal people. He is a winner in the “Fame lab Competition”, which is the only competition in Egypt in Science Communication.  

Basem Sharaf

He was born in 1979 at Giza He graduated from the faculty of Arts, Cairo University He participated in the writing of “Tamer and Shawqeya” series part one and two, “A man and six women” series part one and two, and in the writing of “Semsem World” Children program. Also he wrote “Please make me laugh” program Books: The first edition of his theatrical set “One Shoe Full of Incidences” was issued by Merit Publishing House in 2007 – the second edition in 2008 – the Norwegian translated edition in 2009 – his narrative set “Blind for Three Days” was issued by Al-‘Ein Publishing House in 2010 He writes a weekly article entitled “Cabin” at Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper, on a regular basis at Basem Saudi Children magazine and he writes an article entitled “Way” at ‘Ein newspaper

Rania Badr El Din

Ahmed Hayman

Born on the 15th of January 1987, I graduated from Misr University of Science and technology Mass Communication College 2008 and specialized in broadcasting. My interest in photography stated in 2005 when I started experimenting with the camera. Soon after I started my photography career working for Akhbar El Hawades weekly newspaper that specializes in crime and natural disasters. I then joined Al Masry AL Youm the daily Newspaper in 2008 Co-Founder and member in a project called “Colorful Future “ that through photography workshop helps to finance projects for helpless and poor people. Tamer Habib

A distinguished Egyptian Scenarist, he proved himself since his first movie “Sahar El-Lialy” which became a benchmark in cinema, after that he started his new style of mixing romance with reality in a magical way. He made cinema different from that made by others of his generation since the beginning of the new millennium – comes after that the movie “About love and Passion” then his movie “Taymor and Shafiqa” in 2007 besides TV drama. His works talk about tangled emotional and humanitarian relationships specially among social groups. In “Sahar El-Lialy” the relationship was honest, in “Loving Girls” was about sisterhood and in “Taymor and Shafiqa” it was the search for love and romance. The best thing that distinguishes Tamer’s scenarios is the dialogue and the good selection of strong vocabulary that touches the recipient deep inside, making good use of his ability to present his movie stars in their most important scenes which will be kept in the cinema’s memory.

Salah El-Dali

Salah Ezz El-Din Mohamed Nasr El-Dali Salah was born in 1988. He graduated from the Faculty of Science, department of Chemistry. He started as an actor on the university stage as he won the title of “The best actor at the level of Helwan University" for his role in "The way of safety" play and a Certificate of appreciation from the jury of Universities Festival for his role in "The great Romolous" play. After his participation in many plays on the university stage and other stages, he decided to turn into the Standup Comedy art and won the first prize at El-Sawy Culture Wheel second standup comedy competition. Some of his work: •”Halamanteshy” program on Al-Nahar TV channel. •A short feature film titled “In the sake of your eyes”

Sary Sameer

slang poet and a voyager He won the university competitions in all study years respectively, and the Egyptian universities literature competition He wrote at Al-Ghad newspaper then afterwards at AL-Dostor then at Al-Shorouq for a brief period He traveled all over Egypt for almost three years in a long trip searching for Folklore and cultures from different places throughout Egypt recording that in his articles He participated in the authorship of songs for theatrical works like “Tomorrow”, “Mercy and Light” and “The last days of Dina’s mother” plays He significantly loves and belongs to the upper Egyptian culture.

Reem gamal , born in 1988, she made a great deal to figure out what she wants to be .she worked as a sales and customer service agent ,later worked as a broadcaster for a short period at radio " Horytna ",But she realized that she would make a good program guest rather than being a broadcaster. She likes to design jewelry because it depicts a woman's feeling , She likes acting, in her first play " Lma ro7i tel3t" 2 years ago she found her passion in art because it is full of feelings and has a greater impact, it gives her the freedom to be creative and makes her feel like sleeping on a cloud in the sky and flying But the most thing that she found herself in is acting, because it allows her more freedom to express herself in many forms. She is a free thinker and these thoughts jump out in her writing although she does not classify herself as a writer. She just enjoys expressing her ideas and thoughts the most thing that expressing her personally is "Fyonka"

Bothaina Kamel

she's a egyptian tv host and a member of Kefaya movement,which opposed the Mubarak regime.She is the first femal [residential candidate in egyptian history,she's a founding member of egyptian against corruption which was established in 2006.

Dr Zainab Abo El-Naga

Dr.Zainab is a professor at the department of Zoology, faculty of science, Mansura University. She is a researcher in the field of Entomology and a mother of a nine-year-old girl. The Egyptian scientist won the title of “Women in Chemistry, 2011” from the UNISCO for discovering a chemical compound that expels and kills mosquitos, and it consists of natural extracts from marine algae which make it more important as it is a safe product with no harm to human or environment. This competition was in the centennial of the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in chemistry “Mrs. Marie Curie”.Dr.Zainab was nominated by one of the international publishing houses specialized in scientific researches and she was the Only Arab researcher to be on that list. Dr.Zainab is interested in producing insecticides that eliminate insects destroying essential crops like wheat and rice which are important for the daily needs of Egyptians. She is working on another project, which is the purification of agricultural lands’ wastewater from insecticides in order to reuse it again in irrigation. Also she made many other researches and she was honored in many countries. She participated in several scientific conferences and symposiums in Germany and Canada.

Mohamed Sakr graduated with BSc in Computer Engineering from Mansoura University in 2006 he started work in the IT from his early years in the university, He worked as an Instructor for Software Development. He is adore in Software Development and Technology, He is seeking to be one of the Technology makers. He was worked and developed different types of software systems and he is work in developing applications for Kinect to be one of the early developers world wide who started development for Kinect. He strongly believes in everyone as his dream and Egypt is one of the most technological countries in the world.

Waleed Mustafa

Waleed Mustafa Born in Cairo in 1975, graduated from the faculty of science – Al-Azhar University He took many specialized courses in marketing, electronic marketing and social networks He worked in the field of business administration, marketing and entrepreneurship for more than ten years He is the founder of “Child Egypt” initiative: http://www.facebook.com/groups/childegypt/ An initiative concerned with education and children in Egypt One of the founders of “Bey’olak” application and website and he is now working full-time to manage the application after turning it into a company.

Ganzeer

Ganzeer is an artist/designer of many disciplines. Ganzeer has had the opportunity to exhibit his work in Egypt, Germany, Poland, Brussels, Holland, Dubai, and Jordan. He's also given workshops in Poland, Jordan, and Egypt, and has spoken at events such as Pecha Kucha Night in Rotterdam and Nuqat Conference in Kuwait. Throughout 2011, Ganzeer has become most known outside of the typical art/design spheres for his "artivism" efforts throughout Cairo's public spaces via the use of murals, graffiti, posters, stickers, and other forms of public intervention.

Mohamed Hisham

Mohamed Hisham Fattouh is a young promising entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Soletrik and is a founder and team leader in Assistech. He is an enthusiast entrepreneur who is still studying in the faculty of Engineering, Helwan University. He believes that ideas -the seed of any successful person- are bulletproof. Pro-Nine Band

Its all about how to proceed with out any external aids Proceed - Not - In - Need - to External aids this is the sentence which made the name Pro-Nine BAND A band who's basic musical genre is rock and some alternative rock and funk rock and country music soft rock , hard rock, metal and blues all sure mixed with an oriental touch the bands story : Our band .. before being constructed .. its members .. were a perfect talented players of solo music and singers ... although they were friends ... n every one hoped 2 achieve his own goal ..a new goal strummed there brains .. so it became a band .. with a lot of professional music players n singers .. so u can say that every member of dis band is really a multi-talented professional artist and al...ot of writing , composing , singing , arrangement , and music playing capabilities .... that's why the PRO (Professional)segment came on one of our minds .. actually .. the "NINE" segment was definitely a part of the fortunes work ... because that section was named by OMAR GHALI .. on 9/9/2009 .. which was 19 ramadan by chance .. and there were 8 members waiting @ da cafe until OMAR GHALI arrived @ 9:09 pm carrying in his head the name of Pro-Nine Band so as to call the nine its self professional as it was a proffesional chance . . . and the funny thing is that he was wearing a t-shirt with no. 9 written on it ... and the band convinced by fate .. and believed that it was a message from god .. 2 name it like that .. their target is climbing up the fame stairs quickly raising there purposeful slogans with a mission of renewal.

Al-Tanora

The origin of “Al-Tanora” is Turkish but the Egyptians developed and modernized it, as the original art was just a dancer spinning with “Tanora” only but the Egyptians added tabors and lanterns so it can be a complete show. The “Tanora” dance originally stems from the Islamic Sufi sense which in turn originates from the concept of motion in the universe where it begins at one point and ends at the same point so the motion becomes circular. When the “Tanora” dancer spins he seems as if he is the sun and the other dancers spinning around him seem as if they are the planets, and their successive cycles stand for the succession of the four seasons as they spin anti-clock wise and when the dancer raises his right hand above and lowers his left hand below, he holds the link between the earth and the sky and with his rotation around himself he seems as if he gets rid of everything to ascent up into the sky.
