We are acting multiple roles as a young pillar-to-be of the society - a university student, son/daughter of your family, alumni of your high school, tutor for a few secondary school students, members of several other clubs, to name but a few.

We are unconsciously under different expectations as to how we should behave - the popular trend in society on what hot jobs are available; our parents want us to earn a respectable career and steady income; peer comparison leads us to think whether I am "2 years ahead" of my fellows or "2 years behind" instead.....

In the face of pressure from expectation, it is always an easier option living a life that is not yours to live because you try to please your parents, teachers, priest etc. by doing what they and the government & media propaganda. Living lives according to what others think is best for you is the most contemplating yet poisonous option. This leads to ignoring the inner voice, that inner calling, and forgetting what makes you happy, what you want to be in your life, what you need….and eventually forget about who you are. We always forget in our life journey that we only have one chance to live the life we are having right now – so we must live it, own it, and especially don’t let other people’s opinions distract ourselves from our own path.
