Four sessions of inspiring talks and three generous breaks..... a full day to exchange ideas and insights.
Join us for this one-day global event!

We are able to host a limited audience at Bainbridge Museum of Art’s beautiful new auditorium to watch a live simulcast of TEDxWomen and participate in a global conversation about how women and girls are shaping and re-shaping the future.
The full speaker schedule is at http://www.tedxwomen.org/schedule/ and http://www.tedxwomen.org/speakers/
(Remember to track back three hours from their published schedule to see what’s happening here during Pacific time.)

The event is open to the public. A limited number of seats are available. (The auditorium holds 70 very comfortably.) There are no pre-sales but if you would like to reserve a seat, please contact the organizer via email, laurel(at)arcstudio.com, with TEDxElliottBay in the subject line. We will do our best to accommodate your request. If you have friends who are thinking about attending, please encourage them to join us. It should be an amazing and inspiring day.

We welcome you to join us for any or all of the speaker sessions (8-9:30, 11:15-12:45, 2-3:30, and 5-6:30 Pacific Time). We will open the auditorium at 7:50 Thursday morning. During the breaks refreshments will be provided by the organizer and there will be music and participant talks simulcast from Paley Center in NY. You are also welcome to take care of your day’s other demands then and return for the next session. A reception will follow the last session.

Admission is free but we ask that you make a contribution to benefit YWCA ALIVE of Kitsap County. All proceeds and additional donations will be used to support YWCA ALIVE programs of Kitsap and Bainbridge. The YWCA of Kitsap County http://www.ywcakitsap.org/ is dedicated to ensuring the personal safety, rights, welfare, and dignity of those who experience domestic abuse; it provides temporary-emergency housing and a supportive network of services for domestic violence victims and their children, and to at-risk families and youth.

About TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxWomen is a TEDx event organized by the Paley Center (NY) that focuses on women, and women's issues. (Visit www.tedxwomen.org) Our event is called TEDxElliottBayWomen, where x=independently organized TED event, and is one of the many TEDx events happening around the globe on December 1 that will engage in and expand upon the events and ideas brought up at TEDxWomen. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

TEDxElliottBayWomen is thrilled to share the spirit and energy that is TEDx and TEDxWomen with Seattle/Bainbridge/KitsapPenninsula.

A HUGE thanks to Bainbridge Museum of Art. Without their directors' genuine community spirit and generosity this would not be happening.
