About this event

The name TEDxBuslimWomen was selected to honour the women of the Buslim families who instigated and played an integral part in the country's revolution. However, the focus of this particular TEDx event is to motivate and inspire women across all the cities of Libya.

For the past nine months the women and girls of Libya have broken new boundaries and reshaped their roles in Libyan society through their participation in the revolution and the building of a new country. TEDxBuslimWomen will discuss the empowerment of Libyan women and draw from the leading roles they have played and will continue to play in helping the reconciliation and rebuilding process. The women of Libya have been an inspiration to the world and this conference is set to encourage these women to continue with their efforts and ensure that they establish themselves as integral members of society that will inspire the future generations of Libya.
