Quick Facts About TEDxTanta
==========================
× TEDxTanta is the first instance a TEDx event (of this scope) in Egypt’s Delta.
× Our project began on August of 2011 × Our team includes nearly a dozen volunteers who assist us
immensely with our planning.
× We made it an immediate priority to focus on Tanta and Egypt and its people, projects and ideas. While we’ve brought in some exciting people from the faculty and alumni network, our focus is on you.
× We are TED license holders and this event is thus independently organized without their supervision or financial assistance.
× Our secret dream is to help to make Tanta, Delta and Egypt a better place for all. If you’ve made it this far, you probably have a good sense of what TED and TEDxTanta are. We’ll skip most of the background, but to summarize, TED is an event based on the mantra of “ideas worth spreading”. Similarly, TEDxTanta aims to bring the same experience to Tanta specifically, Delta in general and Egypt on the larger scope and to give inventors, scientists, writers, and innovators of all kinds, the platform to share their own ideas.

OUR THEME
============
(Unveiling Hidden Potential)

Believe it or not, it took us weeks to come up with a theme. In the end, we arrived at something broad but pertinent to TEDx event. Our theme, “Unveiling Hidden Potential ”, means that we expect each TEDxTalk

×To be forward-oriented;
×To relate, inspire or bring a hidden potential of an idea, a person or something.
× To have an explanatory or predictive angle; and above all (To be motivating for our audience).
Quite simply, ideas empower. A good idea, properly leveraged, can have an immense effect on our future.
