Learn all about the world of the future in this TEDx event, organised by a group of circa 30 International Business students from Xamk (Kouvola campus).

In the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program helps communities, organizations and individuals produce TED-style events at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis, under a free license from TED.

Author on AI, ex-Googler, Speaker of the Year 2018

Antti Merilehto is an author on Artificial Intelligence, his book (available in English in February ‘20) was the bestselling business book in Finland. Antti is an ex-Googler having done most of his career in digital B2B. Finnish event organizers awarded Antti as the Speaker of the Year 2018.

Heta Heiskanen

Secretary General for Finnish Climate Change Panel, Ministry of the Environment

Heta Heiskanen works as a Secretary General in the Finnish Climate Change Panel, Ministry of the Environment. She also has a PhD on international human rights law and environmental matters.

Mari Pantsar

Director, carbon-neutral circular economy at Sitra

Mari Pantsar leads the Carbon-neutral circular economy theme. She steers the strategy of the theme and is responsible for ensuring that all activities related to it direct Finland towards a more ecologically sustainable and competitive society.

Ville Virta

Lead developer at SATO

Ville has been programming since 2001 and has been working full-time in the tech area since 2010. He started his own company in 2013 and has been working for a swiss start-up company as CTO from 2015 until 2019. Currently Ville is based in Helsinki, working as lead developer at SATO.
