Daithí O'Gliasáin
******************* Originally from the west of Ireland, Daithi has worked in, and travelled to, over forty countries scattered around the globe. Working as a lecturer and business consultant encouraged finding answers to questions which can sometimes seem intangible. With an background in applied mathematics, he has looked at ways to understand the behaviour of groups and individuals and the variables which motivate them. His talk entitled "The coefficient of personal friction" will take a look at the physical and psychological forces at play when people and objects try to start moving in new directions.
