THEME: THE CREATIVE CLASS
Richard Florida said a genial phrase about the Creative Class: "The economic need for creativity has registered itself in the rise of a new class, which I call “the Creative Class”. About 38 million people, about 30 % of all employed people belong to this new class. This includes people in science and engineering, architecture and design, education, arts, music and entertainment, whose economic function is to create new ideas, new technologies and new creative content. In addition, the Creative Class also includes creative professionals in business and finance, law, healthcare and related fields. These people are engaged in solving complex problems, requiring considerable independence of thought and a high level of education and human capital. After that all members of the Creative Class - artists or engineers, musicians or computer scientists, writers or entrepreneurs - share a common creative ethos that needs creativity, personal qualities and merits. For those who are a part of the Creative Class, all aspects and all manifestations of creativity - technological, cultural and economic - are interconnected and inseparable.
The great difference between the creative and other classes is for what they get their money."
Now women in Moscow would like to discuss what is the Creative Class, being inspired by TEDTalks.
