This event can be thought of as "a taste of TEDxNASA," the highly acclaimed event held at the Ferguson Center the past two years. Our theme, Simplicity, was selected to acknowledge the contrast between the extraordinary preparations made for our day long TEDxNASA outreach events and the comparatively simple, three hour event to be held on site. Our lobby and surrounding areas will display artwork produced by our own talented colleagues. There is, of course, an exciting lineup of thought provoking speakers eager to share their “ideas worth spreading”.
Within each of the two sessions is a carefully selected variety of presentations, including talks on innovation, music, technology, and how to secure funding for great ideas, just to name a few. In the TED tradition, a break is scheduled between sessions and at the close of the program to give participants time to share their thoughts with speakers and other attendees. For NASA employees that have been curious about TED or TEDxNASA, this will be a quick, convenient way to come and see what everyone's been talking about. TEDxNASA can take many forms, grand or austere, and still be very valuable overall.
