About this event
TEDxCuria is dedicated to children in underprivileged coastal areas of Ecuador. It is a space where children will be empowered and inspired to take control of their future and change their environment one step at a time.
Children of Curia, a small town in the coast of Ecuador will hear from those who have pursued their dreams with love and passion for what they do, improving their future and changing their current reality for a better one.
TEDxCuria is sponsored by Andean Consulting and Granito de Arena, a local non-profit created to improve the life of children in underprivileged coastal communities through surf.

Andrés Fernández
Six time National surf champion, Andres is currently a professional freerider for Bilabong Int. With extensive experience in creative publishing, Andrés has been acknowledged in several international festivals ((Cannes, Fiap, Ojo de Iberoamérica y Cóndor de Oro). After his successful careers, Andrés is currently seeking to improve the life of children in underprivileged coastal communities through the love of surf, with his project "Granito de Arena".
