Theme: Exploring the meaning of human potential

This event occurred on
November 16, 2011
7:00pm - 11:00pm EST
(UTC -5hrs)
Knoxville, Tennessee
United States

What does it mean to pursue “human potential?” Of course, there’s no one right answer – and even trying to find just one answer completely defeats the point of asking the question at all in the first place. However, one thing is for certain – reaching your potential is impossible unless you’re inquiring freely about its definition and sharing those thoughts with others. That’s why we’ve assembled some of our region’s finest authors, professors & educators, college students, social innovators, visionaries, healers, executives, startup entrepreneurs, and nonprofit founders to share with us their stories, questions, ideas, and keen insights on how all of us can thrive at every level (regardless of where we find ourselves in life). We hope you’ll be able to join us, in the spirit of TED, for this exploration of "ideas worth spreading."

The evening will be kicked off by Knoxvillian and TEDx celebrity Birke Baehr who (at 11-years old) presented a presentation titled “What’s Wrong With Our Food System” at TEDxAsheville last year. It is now the second most watched TEDx video online in the world.
