In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Atish Indrekar

Mr. Atish Indrekar has been an actor and director for the past 15 years at Budhan Theatre, a volunteer community based theatre group of Chhara Tribe, which was labelled as “Criminal Tribe” during colonial rule in India. He has performed various plays, all based on socio-political issues of the marginalised and oppressed communities across India. Having taught theatre in reputed institutes like IIMs and IITs, he believes in the power of theatre. Theatre is for all, and anybody can do it - is what he believes.

Dhvanit Thaker

Dhvanit Thaker, popularly known as RJ Dhvanit, has been the favourite RJ of many since a long time and has received several prestigious awards in the Indian Radio Industry for consecutive years. He has been the State Emissary for the Election commision and the first one to have spread the message for voter awareness with a zest. Dhvanit also writes newspaper columns, movie songs and jingles that strike a chord with every individual.

Dr. Ganesh Bagler

Ganesh Bagler is an interdisciplinary researcher working in the areas of complex systems, computational biology, bioinformatics, in silico drug discovery, and applications of data science to health and medicine. His data-driven investigations aimed at probing patterns in traditional Indian recipes have led to the discovery of a novel food pairing phenomenon in Indian cuisine.

Dr. Raghavan Rangarajan

Dr. Rangarajan has been on the faculty of the Theoretical Physics Division at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad (PRL) since 1997. Dr. Rangarajan's areas of research are cosmology and particle physics, and he works primarily on processes that occurred in the very early Universe soon after the Big Bang. In particular, his research has been on topics such as dark matter, the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe and the cosmic microwave background radiation.

Hanita Bhambri

Hanita Bhambri is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter and poet based out of Delhi. Having recently finished her Masters in Business from MICA University Ahmedabad, she is set to follow her passion for music. She's not just a singer, she's also the bronze winner of Ahmedabad poetry slam. Hanita has been featured on many publications such as BBC World Service, Balcony TV, Radio One, Hard Rock Rising and the list goes on. Touted as the Adele of Delhi University, Hanita speaks through her tunes.

Harshwardhan Zala

Harshwardhan Zala is a 14 year old self-taught Drone developer, Robotics entrepreneur, and along with all that, a 10th grade student. He is the founder & CEO of Aerobotics7, his technology startup. He started his journey when he was 10 years old. His experience is truly inspiring and something everyone must hear.

Ishan Nangia

Ishan is a 20-year old versatile beatboxer. Having won several national beatbox battles, he recently became the first Indian to reach the semi-finals of the Great North Beatbox Battle in Canada. He has performed for Danish and French ambassadors and received a lot of appraisement for the art that he pursues. Ishan believes in the almost never ending spontaneous experimentation that this art offers unlike any other musical instrument.

Prof. Gauri Bharat

Dr. Gauri Bharat is the Chair of History, Theory and Criticism and an associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Her teaching and research focus primarily on how people engage with the built environment. For the past few years now, Gauri has experimented with teaching architectural history and humanities using the city of Ahmedabad as a laboratory.

Rinku Agrawal

A mother of twin sons, a wife of a proud husband and a scientist at Space Applications Centre - Mrs. Rinku Agrawal. At the age of 38, she was detected to be having breast cancer. After going through physical as well as psychological trauma during the treatment, today she is a proud survivor. She is the recipient of ISRO's youngest individual service award and currently works as an engineer
