Dr. Terri Orbuch, also known as The Love Doctor®, is America’s most trusted relationship expert. She is an author, speaker, therapist and professor who brings her simple, straightforward, science-based relationship advice to REAL people everywhere.
Discover the secrets of better love, better relationships and better living.

Lisa Jesswein, a two-time kidney transplant recipient, cancer survivor, divorcee, who knows staying positive in a negative world is possible. She will help you build a plan to overcome fears and navigate setbacks.

Nicholas Kristock, an entrepreneur with a passion for service and founder of several non-profit ventures, believes the world needs pioneers to create solutions to everyday problems. This conversation will ignite your enthusiasm for social entrepreneurship.

*Please note that the format for this evening will not be the traditional 18-minute talks but rather speaker-led discussions. Be ready to exchange ideas and talk with fellow attendees!

Lisa Jesswein

Radio Host
Lisa Jesswein was a fixture in Detroit morning radio for 23 years, sharing her positive personality and infectious laugh. Staying positive in a negative world is a challenge, but one that Lisa has faced countless times as a two-time kidney transplant recipient, cancer survivor, divorcee and intuitive reader. Lisa has been an inspirational speaker since the age of 14 when she was asked by medical staff to speak on organ donation at the state capitol. She has been motivating people ever since with the call to action to embrace the "power of you!"

Nicholas Kristock

Entrepreneur
Nicholas is a former international professional soccer player turned serial entrepreneur and servant leader. He has founded three non-profit organizations dating back to 2012. In 2016, he founded the technology startup Mahalo, a donor cultivation platform for organizations to re-engage donor bases. He serves as the Executive Director of Fleece & Thank You, an innovative 501(c)3 organization that provides hope and comfort to children battling illness by giving donors the unique opportunity to make them a fleece blanket and video message of support. Outside of his obsession with starting new ventures, something interesting about Nicholas is that he was a member of the startup team for Orange Sky Laundry, the world's first mobile laundry service for the homeless, and has lived homeless for a week in Sydney, Australia.

Terri Orbuch

Professor of Sociology + Author
Dr. Terri Orbuch (PhD), also known as The Love Doctor®, is America’s most trusted relationship expert. She is an author, speaker, therapist, professor at Oakland University, and research professor at University of Michigan, Institute for Social Research. She brings her simple, straightforward, science-based relationship advice to REAL people everywhere! Dr. Orbuch has published over 50 articles and authored six books. She is also the director of a landmark study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, where she has been following the same 373 couples for almost 3 decades. She has been featured in such national publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Cosmopolitan, Reader’s Digest and TIME magazine. She has also appeared on The Today Show, The Katie Couric Show, ESPN and CNN. Her relationship segments are aired on Fox-TV Detroit and she is a relationship expert for OurTime.com. She was featured in a PBS TV program, “Secrets From The Love Doctor."
