Glenda Corcino
Dentist, Health Practice Management Professor
Graduated from PUCMM in 1995 as doctor in dental medicine/ dentistry; received a scholarship from the Rotary Club Haifa, Israel, to pursue postgraduate studies at the Department of Endondontics at Tel Aviv University in Israel during 1995-1996. For her outstanding performance, she was selected to work with Professor Aviad Tamse as co-author in the study "Residual dentin thickness in mandibular premolars" published in the prestigious Journal of Endodontics in June 1998.
Upon returning to the Dominican Republic, Dr. Corcino continues her personal and professional training along with her clinical practice at her dental centers - Dent Oral. Her entrepreneurial spirit continues to inspire her career. She complements her preparation by attending graduate classes in Health and dental practice management; also restorative and esthetic dentistry, university pedagogy, lately leadership and service at RIT.
In 2002, she started her project redesigning the service she offers at her dental clinic. Doctor Corcino has excelled as a leader and her ability to inspire people around her, she is devoted to motivate those around her to love, laugh and be thankful.
Joshua Guzman
Engineer
Joshua R. Guzmán is an Industrial Engineer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2013, he also has a master degree in Service, Leadership and Innovation from the Rochester Insititute of Technology (RIT). He is currently the Quality Assurance Manager at PUCMM, where he works to ensure the implementation of high quality standards on processes and the effective measurement of the Institutional Key Performance Indicators. In this position, he has worked to create the first institutional dashboard of quality standards using new tools of Big Data as Microsoft Power Bi with the objective to increase the value of information and to improve the decision-making process in the University. Also, Mr. Guzmán is professor at PUCMM of the subjects Decision Theory, Operation Management and Statistics. As a professor in the PUCMM, he has worked with his students in class to discuss and develop innovative ideas that could impact the society.
Kiero Guerra
Psychology Professor
Dr. Guerra is a full-time psychology professor at a private university, Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He currently conducts research in classification methodologies, specifically improving statistical tools for longitudinal data analysis, and psychometrics, which include psychological tests standardization and validation for their use in the Dominican Republic. His substantive interests are academic and workplace performance, personality and emotions.
