In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Amasett Economy

Currently working as the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement at the 3rd largest public school in the state of Georgia, Kennesaw State University with campuses in both Kennesaw and Marietta. Driven higher education professional with 10+ years of experience working in both private industry and higher education. Believer of doing things that most don't believe can be done.

Ana Hale

Her path as an educator started after deciding that she had an affinity for cafeteria food, colored pencils, and ditto machines, so Ana Hale jumped into teaching in 2001. For 14 years she worked in 6th – 12th grades in the areas of Special Education, English, Social Studies, Reading, and one misspent semester as a gym teacher. Currently, she is an embedded Technology Coach working in the iTeach department at Kennesaw State University’s Bagwell College of Education.

Antonio Bill

Antonio "Tony" Bill is an Atlanta native and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He aims to exemplify why it is important for underprivileged individuals like himself to learn how to be sySTEMatic in society in order to peacefully conquer their goals and eradicate the odds that impose a threat upon their success.

Crystal Money

Crystal Money is the Program Specialist at the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics and Character, and takes great pride in her career as an academic. Crystal and her husband Mike are happily childfree by choice, and enjoy their lives together with their two pups, Archie and Olivia. Crystal was named 2016 International Childfree Woman of the Year.

Dr. Ann M. Bennett

Dr. Ann M. Bennett was born and raised in Southside Chicago. She earned four degrees from The University of Tennessee, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Reading Education at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Bennett's research focuses on countering dominant educational discourses and deficit perspectives affecting marginalized communities through the use of photovoice and experimental ethnography.

Gala Jackson

Gala Jackson, M.Ed., CELDC, CCTDC, CLC, is a career and life management coach. She provides custom career and life coaching services to Milllennial and Gen X leaders. Passionate about education and life-long learning, Gala also serves as a faculty member at Kennesaw State University in the School of Communication and Media Studies. Gala resides in Atlanta, GA with her family where she enjoys volunteering and exploring new developments in the Metro area.

Joseph Ruse

Joey is a Junior at Kennesaw State in the Entrepreneurship Program, and he enjoys consulting future entrepreneurs as well as managing the Art'NspirED project. He is interested in how to engage in meaningful discussion and learn to disagree respectfully.

Kelley Delchamps

Kelley Delchamps is a senior at KSU studying Human Services, Case Management. She is a former Resident Assistant, and has been involved in leading united movements among the many amazing Christian campus ministries KSU has to offer. She has been singing since she was a small child, and is growing as a piano player and song writer. After graduation in December 2017, Kelley is excited to see what the future holds.

Lacey Haslam

Lacey Haslam is an educator, exhibition organizer and the Director of Archive of Creative Culture–a traveling archive of books contributed by influential arts and cultural figures. The project serves a resource for artists and is rooted in social engagement, participation, collaboration, and public exchange. She holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from University of North Carolina at Asheville. She is also a professor at Kennesaw State University.

Scotticus Tracy

Scotticus is an artist, pizza maker/lover/lovemaker and recent Kennesaw State graduate, residing the Greater Atlanta Area. He lives a life of music, playing in several local projects and singing the orchestral arrangements rolling through his head all day. He spent 2 years as an on air talent at KSU’s Owl Radio, and plays more than 10 instruments. He wishes for everyone to be a music and arts enthusiast, and that we look at the world and each other with a little more depth. Also, stop littering.

Terrence D. Burruss

Terrence D. Burruss is originally from Buffalo, New York but grew up in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He is a senior communications major with a concentration in organization communication. He loves working with children and young adults because he feels like they are so malleable and ambitious. He enjoys reading books about philosophy, self-help, and autobiographies, in addition to watching sports.

Tyler Gragg

Tyler Gragg is Mechatronics Engineer who hopes to one day be an astronaut preforming experiments regarding robotics in space. He is currently working for OwlRadio as the Tech Director, and working in the chemistry department working on various projects.

Veaceslav Cretu

A native of Republic of Moldova, Veaceslav Cretu is a Resolution Project Fellow, a Microsoft Student Partner, and an advocate for Quality Education. He was featured twice in the Huffington Post for his outstanding social activism and leadership commitment to produce social impact. Currently, Veaceslav is a student at Kennesaw State University, majoring in Information Security and Assurance.
