North Korea : Present and Future ----- It is said that history repeats itself. But North Korea is a country that has defied all odds. It has survived the rise of capitalism and democracy, a crippling famine and international sanctions. From the outside, the regime appears to have a stronghold on its people, and unwilling to cooperate with the international community. From within the county, however, the situation is much more complicated. The question of what the future holds for this nation of 25 million still remains, and all we can do as outsiders, is watch closely.
