"Hip-hope"
Saxon Kincy is an up-and-coming rapper from L.A. who has performed across the United States and Europe. Mr. Kincy started writing songs when he was homeless in 2014 and has since written hundreds, recorded thirty of them, and has released an EP called "The Perils," which garnered over 600,000 views in its first three weeks of release. He will be speaking about fighting against his struggles through the power of hip-hop.

"How to translate knowledge into power"
Dr. Abby Hardgrove is currently a teacher at the Knowledge Is Power Program/KIPP Central City Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana, holding a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the University of Oxford. Her work focuses on conflict and displacement found among youth in developing countries. She will be speaking about the effect of oppression and exclusion throughout history, and the need for diversity.

Dr. Joe Panepinto ’85 is a Hamilton alumnus and the current Senior Vice President at Genuine, LLC. With over twenty years of digital communication, marketing, publishing and education experience to clients that include Welch’s, Unum, Anheuser-Busch inBev, Harvard Business School, IBM, Walmart, UPS, Hewlett-Packard, and others, he has studied the social impact of new communication technologies. He will be speaking on the impact that social media has on one’s self-awareness.

"Amo, amas, amat: what's SHE doing in a field like THAT?!"
Professor Shelley Haley is a Hamilton Professor of Africana Studies and Classics who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Having spoken on BBC and The Learning Channel programs, many of her lectures focus on the need for greater representation of students of color in Latin, ancient Greek, and Classics classrooms. She will be speaking about the importance of fighting against imposed stereotypes and expectations.
