In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alta Tension

AJ Ramirez, Guy Schneider, Tejas Gorti, and Matt Mcintyre Alta Tension is a four piece experimental instrumental band formed in Valencia, Spain. Their sound is based heavily on progressive music, with touches of electronica, jazz, and alternative rock. Alta Tension combines standard live rock instrumentation with electronic influences and technology, favoring group vibe and flow over individual soloing.

Rodrigo Andreiuk Trio

Rodrigo’s journey of composition and classical piano started at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Being multi-talented, Rodrigo played in several bands as pianist, keyboardist and drummer, having participating in a discography of a few more than ten CDs, while simultaneously expanding his professional career as composer, arranger and working as a musical producer and director. As an international musician, he has conveyed his Brazilian energy to audiences in Spain, Germany, Hungary, Austria and Vienna.

Satarra

Satarra is a singer songwriter, bassist and producer, from Cleveland Ohio. Steeped in the soul and funk music of the 60s and 70s, Satarra has taken the rhythms of the era, the acoustic sounds of the neo-soul scene that blossomed in Atlanta in the early 2000s and her own fresh innovative lyric style and electronic productions and created something organic, authentic, and undeniably soulful.

Aithan Shapira

CEO + Leadership Strategist, Making to Think Aithan Shapira, MFA PhD, advises senior executives and boards of Fortune 500 tech, financial, aviation, healthcare and energy companies on creative leadership strategies in uncertain times and how to ‘lead by seeing and listening differently.' His research on how the arts can transform organizations and leadership has guided initiatives, experiences, and corporate cultures at some of the world’s leading businesses and has pioneered top-rated leadership development courses for MIT Sloan.

Brian Cole

Brian is an experienced and innovative leader in the arts and education and the Dean - of University of North Carolina School of the Arts). His experience can be seen through his work as both an executive in higher education and as an orchestral and operatic conductor. Brian also served as the founding Dean at Berklee College of Music’s first international campus in Valencia, Spain.

Conci Althouse

Conci is a documentary filmmaker originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her still and motion photography have been screened worldwide. Narrative storytelling led her to documentary, recently lensing the feature LAND OF THE FREE, directed by Camilla Magid.

Dr. Helen D. Lewis

Helen is a faculty member and the Academic Coordinator in the Theater Division at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Boston, Massachusetts. She teaches modern drama, dramatic theory and criticism, queer theory and gender studies, graduate studies, and acting.

Eduardo Cabra

Eduardo José Cabra Martínez, better known by his stage name “Visitante”, is a Latin Grammy award winning producer, as well as musician, composer, and multi-performer from Puerto Rico. Currently, Eduardo manages “La Casa del Sombrero”, a producing platform for artists and bands from all around the world to exchange global ideas. Eduardo is also working on a project named “Trending Topics,” launching in 2017.

Hugh Macdonald

Hugh is a 19 year old singer-songwriter, constantly on the move. He takes inspiration from artists like Ben Howard and Leonard Cohen, as well as from philosophy, which he has always found himself drawn to. He also writes and plays for a duo in Boston called Think of England. His music has been featured on several of the most popular podcasts, blogs, publications, and local radio stations across the US and Europe.

Liz Pryor

Liz is the owner of www.LizPryor.com and author of What Did I Do Wrong?, nominated for the Books for a Better Life award. Her new memoir Look At You Now, published by Random House July, 2016, was recently sold to Sonar Entertainment to be made into a limited television series. Liz is an author, columnist, and life advice expert who helps others push through difficult times in life.

Matthew Struthers

Matthew has been involved with music his entire life, since he first touched a piano key at the tender age of 3. Born with a physical disability called Cerebral Palsy, he was inhibited from certain physical activities, but it allowed him to follow his passion of music. Throughout his struggles, he discovered a superior talent, and saw music to be an emotional outlet, and soon found that playing and performing for other people brought him the greatest happiness.
