Theme: Out of the Ashes

The theme for this maiden edition of TEDxUngwanrimi is "Our of the Ashes". Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. The talks will inspire you to discover, develop and/or deploy your potentials. They will also be crafted among others to let you know that no matter your level in life and whatever part of the globe you may be, you can achieve all you dream, believe and work hard to become. More so, it is to propel the zeal for learning which has been one of the most striking for the curator watching the TED Talks.

Yusuf Leinge

Yusuf Leinge is a human capital development expert. Motivated with a burden to see zero ignorance within his community and the nation at-large, he has committed himself to human development, educational projects and education advocacy. He is a graduate of Geology from Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State and has worked in the public education sector for 9 years now. He directly interfaces with the stakeholders in the public schooling system in Nigeria in a bid to significantly improve the state of public education. In 2013, he established the Teach Nigeria Projects. So far, over 700 students within Kaduna metropolis have benefitted from over 7000 reading and writing materials. TeachNigeria Projects have also established a library in a public senior secondary school in Kaduna, reaching 3000 students directly.
