In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Azrulkhan Hasrullah

Student of IIUM who is just 24-year-old, despite being crippled, has managed to conquer several hills in Selangor — Bukit Broga, Bukit Tabur, Bukit Gasing, Bukit Saga and Bukit Kutu in Kuala Kubu Baru. Hasrullah’s determination caught the attention of many netizens after pictures and a video of him reaching to the peak of Bukit Broga went viral on social media over the past few days and received 7,000 likes and more than 1,000 shares.

Bilal Guerinat

A really proud and blessed UUM student of a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Finance and Banking. Mesmerized and intrigued about the intricacies of the universe and the thing called life. His passions range from being an equestrian, avid reader to culture and arts. A self-proclaimed foodie and a wild adventurer too.

Calvin Woo

Calvin believes in the power of education to change lives and be leveraged for social good among millennials like him. Currently, he is an MBA Candidate with Asia School of Business-MIT Sloan School of Management. He was a co-founder of a Kuala Lumpur based social enterprise that aims to develop professional capabilities of millennials from various backgrounds to be better prepared for the workforce. Previously, he worked in a social enterprise as Head of Programmes where he worked closely with marginalised youths in Malaysia in improving their education outcomes. Combining his interest in economic development in Malaysia, Southeast Asia and globally, he was the chief coordinator for Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS), an independent liberal public policy think tank, National Unity Youth Fellowship. He was also a Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellow on Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in University of Connecticut, USA. His leadership and works in social development led him to be the first Malaysian to be awarded with Queen’s Young Leaders award (from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II). He sits on advisory board member position with Successor Generation Initiative, a youth development network with British High Commission Kuala Lumpur and Y-Group, a social enterprise based in Batam, Indonesia. Recently, he documented his journey and authored his first book- “How I escaped the Rat Race” with MPH Books.

Jia Fu Yap

A 4th-semester accounting student. He is very active in all kind of societies such as basketball club and Chinese events. No only that he is very passionate in accounting field. Jia Fu wasn’t into studies at all when he was in high school.

Jikhaideel Chelaeh

A student entrepreneur in UUM. He is the founder of Bubbleshake. He is originated from Thailand but how is he able to start up his business in UUM.

Kee Sin Teh

Mr Teh Kee Sin is the founder of a manufacturing firm in JB. Mr Teh's 20 over years’ entrepreneurship journey were enriched by his participation in many NGOs, I was informed at one time he hold up to 17 NGO. Mr Teh actively involved in trade n business Association, he is also holding a few positions such as being a counselor for local government as well as advisor for Prime Minister Office to assist the SME. He is the SME Malaysia president and a very experienced entrepreneur (went to China and Thailand for the economic forum as speakers and chairs). He had met & advised 2000 entrepreneurs last year including the founder of burger lab etc.

Khaled Ali

A young intelligent undergraduate of Islamic Finance and Banking, very creative, dynamic, innovative, trust worthy, a good team player, with strong interpersonal communication skills. Not only that, he was the vice president of UNESCO society in UUM.

Umair Ahmed

A PHD student in UUM. Umair is from Pakistan. Nevertheless, he is actively involved himself in providing soft skills training workshops for the student. He is a seasoned soft skills trainer with more than 5 years of international training and mentoring experience. Not only that, he is the founder and Lead Trainer at Center for Human Development in Pakistan.

Vivek Sasheendran V

Mr Vivek has started up 9 organizations in the last 6 years, failed in 6 of them. Once in debt of RM600k and in the brink of bankruptcy. However, he never gave up and now is constantly headhunted by Companies.
