In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Forrest Holcombe

High school senior and founder of the Emergency Medical Response Foundation.

Henrick Hoeg

Henrik Hoeg is the emcee and director of Peel Street Poetry, an English language poetry collective in Hong Kong centered around their weekly open mic nights. His first book 'Irreverent Poems for Pretentious People' was an awardee in the 2015 Proverse Prize and subsequently Published in 2016. It was described in the Asian Literary Journal 'Cha' as "the poetic equivalent of Tinder match". By day he works as a Literary Specialist at the Jadis Blurton Family Development Center, primarily working with dyslexic children. His second collection of poetry is due out this summer.

Max Clark

Max Clark is a teacher of English, Global Perspectives and Theory of Knowledge at YCIS, Hong Kong. He has also taught and worked in school management in Malaysia, Italy, Japan and his native England. He is curious about how, what and why we learn. He likes to make music and things that fly.

Paul Balluff is the CEO of the 24-Hour Race, a charity organization whose mission is to to challenge our generation to lead global action against slavery through the 24 Hour Race movement.

Wun To, better known as “Sugar Man”, is a local artisan most known for making pulled and blown sugar art on the quiet island of Cheung Chou.
