TEDxBITSHyderabad 2016 will be organized on 13th November 2016, with the theme “Dream. Think. Evolve.” The theme is an expression of our belief that any “Idea”, develops in these three stages. You Dream of an Idea. You Think and formulate it. And then you Evolve that Idea into Reality.

Anuradha Thakur

Anuradha’s paintings have been influenced by the lifestyles of tribes all over the country.Her extensive travels across India gave her a wider experience with various tribes in the region which are Gujrat , Jhabua, Assam, Northeast and Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh. Her work which focuses on the internal world of Tribal, Traditional life & culture and links us deep into another world with its own internal pulse and rhythm

Dr. Neharika Yadav

A Dentist. A Professional SuperBiker. Seems like another Impossible combination, right? Dr. Neharika Yadav, A professional rider of the Ducati 899 Panigale, is India's Fastest Woman SuperBiker. She is Like the Sea, Cool, Calm, and Shimmering, when playing the dentist, Breath-Taking, Adventurous and Dangerous when on her bike. Dr.Neharika Yadav participated in the KTM Open Track Day as the only Lady Rider among as many as 97 Male Drivers. And, she speeded past her rivals and thus the gender bender standing 20th on the grid, setting a personal best lap time of 1:52: 379 minutes in just 14 laps of racing. And all this, when she has just 50% movement capability on her right hand.

Hemanth Satyanarayana

A dynamic Young man from IIT Madras, who completed his Masters in Computer Science from MIT, Hemanth Satyanarayana, is the founder of a Hyderabadi startup called Imaginate software solutions. His startup deals with making lives easy with a relatively new concept of Virtual and Augmented Reality. Today, he has a wide plethora of successfully accomplished projects in areas like Online shopping, Real Estate, Education, Defence and Entertainment and a number of satisfied clients including the Indian Army, Hindustan Unilever, Aga Khan foundation and Aditya Birla group. With his dedication, he was able to come up with creative products like Imaginate lenz, Shoot AR, Heritage AR, first show, Hololens and the list continues… The consistent spirit of solving problems effectively and efficiently has brought him and his enterprise many laurels like the MIT - TR35 Young Innovator Award 2012, NEXT B2B Award by World Economic Forum, Frankfurt, 2014 and a position in the Top 3 at IBM Smart Camp Kickstart, 2012.

Kapur Mal Jain

We all can agree that physics was one of the most dreaded subjects of our childhood. Although interesting, it can appear to be very daunting. Kapur Mal Jain is set out to change that very thought through his talk about ‘Thinking physics’. Watch as he talks about how physics is interweaved so effortlessly in our daily lives which gives the subject a fresh perspective. The author of the very famous book "Thinking Physics This Way", Kapur Mal Jain did his M.Sc. in Physics from BITS Pilani in 1973 and is currently Joint Director at Directorate Higher Education, Govt of Madhya Pradesh. He was appointed as a lecturer in Physics at Govt. Arts and Science College, Durg and soon awarded Teacher Fellowship by UGC to work at IACS, Jadavpur, where he completed his Ph.D. in 1981. He has also worked in IIT Delhi as a National Associate of UGC and in University of Poona as a Visiting Associate of UGC.

A master of numbers and metrics, Krishna Kodali, a former professor of Economics in BITS Pilani presently teaching in ISB.

Madhavi Adimulam

Madhavi’s journey with special needs started with her Son’s diagnosis of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in the year 2001. Madhavi has about 15 years of experience in working with children with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delays and a variety of Learning Difficulties. Madhavi is the Founder of Ananya Learning Centre – A Learning Centre for Children with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delays and a variety of Learning Difficulties in 2008. Since 2008 Ananya Learning Centre helped hundreds of children with ASD and other special needs. She also started Sattva Lifeskills and Vocational Skills Centre for Young Adults with Special Needs in 2015.

Nischal Narayanam

From being a mathematical genius to winning several laurels from a very young age, he is no less than a prodigy. A double Guinness World Record holder, World Memory Champion 2007, he was accredited by National Geographic Channel as one of the “7 brilliant brains of the world”

Sunil Shastri

Sunil Shastri is the son of Late Lal Bahadur Shastri and has been an active figure in the Indian political circuit for the last 35 years. He fought and won the UP assembly elections from Gorakhpur in 1980. He later went on to be nominated as the Chairman of the Minimum Wages Advisory Board Ministry of Labor, Government of India, 1990. He joined the Rajya Sabha in 2002. He also runs a successful trust for the upliftment of the rural poor through self-employment and providing them education.

Tanmay Shah

Tanmay Shah, Founder and CEO of FridayFictionFilms, is a techie turned film maker who holds a Golden Book Of World Record, Asia Book Of Record and India Book Of Record in making 52 short films in 52 weeks in a year. '52FilmsProject' brought together the trend-setting example of zero-budget film making, art of creative thinking and practicing agile execution in short films. A former Research Associate from IIT-Bombay , Tanmay left his job to make films. His documentary work on salt pan workers of Gujarat has won best short documentary award in 7 international film festivals in 2016. Currently, he is writing a feature film on a distinct culture persistent in Ahmedabad.
