Students will be hearing from a diverse range of speakers on topics ranging from the pressures facing women in trying to have it all and whether education without virtues is bankrupt, through to reflections on the world of politics and dealing with the 'fear of the blank page'.

Dave Smith

Dave Smith is a comedian and writer who in 1991 quit his 9-5 job to follow his dream of becoming a comedian. He soon became a regular at the Comedy Store and has worked nationwide. He has since become a well known and much loved writer of hilarious columns for GQ, The Sunday Times and Boston Herald.

Laura Douglas

Laura is a solicitor who works in a highly competitive and successful law firm and a superb musician who got through to the semi finals of Britain's Got Talent.

Lorraine Abbott

Lorraine is an author and teacher and is wonderfully passionate about education and achieving the best out of schooling.

Meg Powell-Chandler

Meg Powell-Chandler has worked as a political adviser and head of briefing to the Conservative Party and special adviser to 10 Downing Street. Meg is a special adviser to Greg Clark and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
