How exactly does a sustainable and urban city function and look like? To what degree can we implement technology to improve the way our cities work? How will the cities look like in the next decade? What does the future hold for the urban development of the world? And most importantly, how is this relatable and replicable in the city of Skopje by 2022?

Ivan Mirkovski

Professor of Architecture, Curator and Urban Planer

Ivan Mirkovski is an architect, urban planner and lecturer in urban design studies at the UACS University – Faculty for Architecture and Design in Skopje, Macedonia. He is the Founder of Skopje Architecture Week and Forum Skopje – international platform for urban planning, sociology and the contemporary thought. Mirkovski obtains his Master’s Degree at the Technical University of Vienna where he is currently Ph.D. candidate. At the moment he works and resides in Skopje where he is partner/owner at the architectural studio Smart Living. Winner of the 2015 National Architecture Award.

Slobodan Velevski

Professor of Architecture, City Spaces

Slobodan Velevski is a distinguished professor at the SS. Cyril and Methodius University under the Faculty of Architecture Skopje. He is a key figure in the Macedonian architect community, especially known for his research on topics such as city spaces and so fort.
