Hari and Sukhmani

Folk & EDM Duo
One band, 2 individuals - singers, songwriters and producers. Hari & Sukhmani have been creating fresh and eclectic sound, fusing traditional punjabi folk music with ambient electronica embodying their powerful, singular and independent spirit. Inspired by famous Sufi poets like Bulleh Shah, Baba Farid, Kabir and Shah Hussain, Hari and Sukhmani aim to make music that speaks to the soul, resonating with every generation.

Aakash Nidhi Jha

Architect - War Heritage Museum
Aakash aims to utilise contemporary and minimalistic architecture to bring CRPF, the world's largest paramilitary force under the spotlight and enlighten the masses about it. Through his Heritage Museum, he aspires to blend the complexity of history, politics, culture and technology together into a ball of knowledge and information, move towards a better tomorrow that boasts of a well informed people, and even more competent armed forces.

Babar Afzal

Founder - Pashmina Goat Project
Babar Afzal is a native of Kashmir. Babar is the founder of the Pashmina Goat Project and is a celebrated Himalayan Abstract artist who hand paints Pashmina shawls and has his exclusive collections of art dedicated to the Pashmina goats making it into the house of President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India.

Developer of the ‘bhungroo’ process – ‘Bhungroo’ technique makes use of pipes to filter and store rain water for a period of approximately ten days in a year, but the water which is then stored in underground reservoirs can be used for as long as seven months! This project has had an enormous impact- it has transformed 40,000 acres of barren, disaster-affected or highly saline land into productive farms.

Deepa Kiran

Story Teller
Deepa Kiran is a storyteller, education consultant, writer and voice-over artist. She weaves in music and movement into her telling and holds training programs for teachers on employing storytelling in the language classroom. She lives in Hyderabad and holds her shows and workshops across the country. She holds a Masters in English Literature from the University of Hyderabad and a PGCTE (Post graduate specialization in the teaching of English) from EFLU, English and Foreign Languages University.

Deepana Gandhi

Flight Dynamics Team Indus
Deepana Gandhi is a part of Team Indus, which aims to land a robotic craft on the Moon by December 2017 as part of Google’s Lunar XPrize race. Her team is one of sixteen and the sole entry from India to the competition which will award a staggering $30 million to the winning team. She grew up in the town of Ooty in Tamil Nadu.

Kaanchi Chopra

Social issue artist - Artivism
Kaanchi Chopra is a 17 year old artist who combines art with activism to form ‘artivism’, as she prefers to call it. Her blog posts use her art to explore issues such as body shaming, colour discrimination, gender inequality, and harassment among others. Her blog post on ‘Stop Acid Attacks’ has been shared by various organisations like Stop Acid Attacks, Sheroes Hangout, and ‘Make Love Not Scar’s. She has been recognized by UNAIDS for her work on colour discrimination.

Kanav Kahol

HONORARY PROFESSOR -Public Health Foundation of India
The Swasthya Slate is a technology developed by Dr. Kahol, an honorary professor of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). The uniqueness of the device is in the fact that it can perform 33 diagnostic tests and provide instant results. The variety of tests that the mobile tablet can be used for include haemoglobin test, blood pressure measurement and ECG.

Preeti Monga

Founder - Silver linings
Preeti is visually impaired since the age of 6 years. She has been appointed the secretary of the central executive council of All India Confederation of the Blind and has been on the board of several major organizations concerning the visually impaired. Her foundation, “Silver Linings” won the national Award from the President in 2013 fro empowerment of people with disabilities. She has also been a recipient of Manav Sewa Award by Sonia Gandhi, Red and White Bravery Silver Award by Sheila Dikshit.

Sand animation artist – Rahul Arya is an internationally acclaimed sand artist, who has brought Sand Animation Art to audiences across India through his performances on live stages as well as television and online platforms.

Sandesh Kadur

Wildlife Film-maker
Sandesh Kadur has a passion for visual imagery and has made his mark as both a wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker. His films have been shown on television networks including National Geographic, BBC, Discovery and Animal Planet. Currently based in India, Sandesh is documenting the Eastern Himalaya, another endangered ecosystem in critical need of conservation. He is a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers and director of Felis Creations , a visual-arts company based in India, which focuses on creating content that inspires conservation.

Sanjay Khatri

Ballet Dancer
The finest Indian male ballet dancer in the country, his classical repertoire includes Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Paquita, Giselle, Romeo & Juliet, Raymonda and Le Corsair. He has mastered and performed a broad array of Contemporary, Jazz, Salsa and Tango choreographies.
