Have you ever wondered how people come up with a big idea? Most of the time, they completely change the way that something is done, thought about, or made. They change the rules and flip the script. They are game changers who have had that ah-ha moment where you see something others don’t. They aren’t just dreamers, but also doers who want to transform. And it’s that transformational magic that takes ideas from ordinary to exceptional. This TEDxBerlin conference iss dedicated to these game changers and their brilliant ideas, projects and visions. Which technologies will revolutionalize the way we are living in the future? How can we initiate social change? Who are the leaders and entrepreneurs who will change our world? And what opportunities are waiting for us beyond our natural habitat, in space? Join us and find out.

Phantom

Phantom is the fruit of love of two artists, music lovers, geeks, misfits and treadmill rebels, who funnel their existence in the time-space-continuum into something of a new media spiced black magic. It all started in 2012, in a cave underground and outside of Helsinki, in the fortress island 18th century bastion, that, some say, inhabits some deeply disturbed Russian ghosts. The ghosts have nothing to do with this story. Or the Russians. Nevertheless. After drinking way too much coffee and playing with their musical toys together, the slightly jazz, glitch and acid influenced pair decided to join forces. They merged into creating sounds to summon the stories of the dead and the unheard into a somewhat haunting mixture of alternative pop, nu-trip hop and electronica. Their biggest dream is to change the world and have superpowers.

Celina Bostic

Celina Bostic sings with a perfect voice about the imperfections of life, discovering beauty in the grey of everyday. The Berlin-born singer and songwriter performed with various bands before setting on a solo career. The acoustic album released in 2014 reflects this new journey. Celina’s music and lyrics (in German) effortlessly bridge the gap between folk and soul, humor and melancholy, elegance and street jargon. She calls it ‘campfire soul”. And indeed when performing live, like around a campfire, her contagiously honest laughter and her powerful yet gentle tones create a unique link with the audience.
