Barbara Miner

Chair, Department of Art, University of Toledo

Miner currently holds the position of Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Art, at the University of Toledo, in Toledo, OH. Her mixed media and installation works have been exhibited nationally and internationally in over 50 exhibitions. She has participated in numerous national and international artist’s residencies. She has received both internal and external grants in support of her research and art practice.

Sans Basnet

High Energy Physics

Sans Basnet is a particle physics student at the University of Toledo and a researcher at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. His research focuses on Neutrino interaction with matter particles, colliding muon neutrino beam with neutron using Water Cherenkov detectors in an experiment called ANNIE. Sans has been working with the ANNIE team led by the University of Chicago and University of California.

Therese Griebel

Associate Director for Strategy at NASA Glenn Research Center

Therese Griebel is the Associate Director for Strategy at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. In this position, she reports directly to the Center Director while leading all aspects of strategy development and planning at the Center, specifically seeking to increase the health, relevancy, and sustainability of the Center. Griebel most recently served two years as the Director of Aeronautics at Glenn. In this position she oversaw all project management for aeronautics research and development at the Center and provided leadership and strategic planning in support of the agency’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate.

Timothy Walker

Mechanical Engineering

Tim Walker is a senior mechanical engineering student at the University of Toledo, with minors in Chemistry and Business Administration. A lifelong passion for aerospace and technology has fueled his desire to innovate in these fields. During his undergraduate career, he competed in multiple business pitch competitions while developing medical devices and designing autonomous aerial vehicles. Tim recently accepted a position as an engineer at NASAs Glenn Research Center, where he will be testing new propulsion systems after graduation. He claims that this is only the beginning, as he hopes to someday create his own companies and make an impact on a global level. While he's not busy with classwork and projects, he enjoys spending free time flying small aircraft as a private pilot with his friends and family. He wants to thank all the great people in his life for supporting his adventures, and looks forward to what the future holds.
