This is a 5th TEDxTsukuba Event. The theme of the event, have three characters meaning "wave", "peace" and "play,"pronounced "How are you". It is our policy made into three characters, Ideas (made from playfulness) spreading (like a wave) will change the world to better place (peaceful world). Each speaker will choose one character as talk's theme, and created talks upon. Our goal is to inspire, through our talks, the participant for them to change the world to better place.

Hiroya Igarashi is an operating director and the head of Diversity Accessibility Career Center at University of Tsukuba, where he delivers lectures on product design. Even though he holds Ph.D in mechanical science, his knowledges cover various fields such as Art and Design. He is a genuine generalist.
