Shell Eco Team

Juniors at Harmony Science Academy-Houston High
The Shell Eco Team - comprised of nine Harmony Science Academy-Houston High students - recently participated in the Shell Eco Marathon in Detroit, Michigan. Since returning from their trip, they have had the chance to reflect on their experiences, 'driving' their TEDx Talk to address hands-on engineering.

Habib Tannir

Executive Director of Clinical Operations at MD Anderson Cancer Center
Habib Tannir has experienced a wide array of opportunities in the medical field, ranging from his work in product and service program development with GE Medical Systems to employee development at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. Today, his single focus is the mission of ending cancer. Joining Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2012, he has managed one the largest radiology operations in the country. Currently, Habib is the Executive Director of Hospitals and Clinics overseeing inpatient operation and hospital practice.

Kemal Bulut

Junior at Harmony Science Academy-Houston High
Kemal Bulut is a junior at Harmony Science Academy-Houston High. His interest in physics has led him on the path to pursue a career in a STEM-related field. He is currently researching quantum levitation, which propels his TEDx Talk.

Patrick Ding

Rice University MoneyThink President
Patrick Ding is a student at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he majors in Mathematical Economic Analysis and minors in Business. Starting in January 2015, Patrick has worked with a group of driven Rice students to launch the Rice University chapter of Moneythink, a national organization dedicated to improving the financial health of America by mentoring high school students in the fundamentals of personal finance and equipping them with the tools necessary to achieve economic security. Over the past year and a half, the group has grown from a handful of students to 14 active mentors in 4 different schools, reaching over 70 students. Now serving as Rice Moneythink President, Patrick aims to lead Rice Moneythink in increasing the breadth and depth of its impact by growing the mentor base and entering more classrooms.
