Anthony Chong

Associate Professor

An Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Ningbo Institute of Technology (NIT), Zhejiang University. Obtained his PhD in Building Technology at the University of Nottingham, UK in 2006. A registered Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK, and a member of Chartered Institute if Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE). Currently teaching Building Services, Sustainable Building Technology and Renewable Energy, and Environmental Science / Building Physics for Year 3 & 4 Architecture students at NIT. Interested in building services engineering, environmental science, building physics, renewable energy technologies application to promote the reduction of building energy consumption, cost and carbon dioxide emissions.

本人99年毕业于宁波医学院分配到鄞州区吴剑鸣医院，从事外科工作，成长中的我充满欢乐，充满微笑，充满自信，充满成功，但也充满忧虑，充满无奈，充满痛苦、充满急躁。随着时间的推移，我不仅个子在逐步长高，而且知识在老师的教导下，越来越多。 成长中的我，是一个调皮蛋。自从伊呀学语进入学校后，就有了自己的班级。在班级里，我常常是一个小调皮蛋，许多事都让老师不顺心，但我活泼、开朗，善于动脑筋，也由此成为小朋友想交往的伙伴。这就是小时候的我。 成长中的我，是一个受气包。在学校里，我常听到同学们的埋怨，特别是中午，每当看见老师叫我在小黑板抄写的作业题，就会听到同学的叫骂。我是科代表，我也无奈，是老师逼着我抄作业题的。由于当时不善言讲，同学们给我使白眼，我只好认了。对于老师布置的作业题，我埋头苦做，一声不吭，只是为完成作业。晚上还要做每门课程的课外作业，经常是做作业到深夜十点。这就是为作业所累的我。 成长中的我，是一个受老师喜爱的好小子。工作以后，业务上积极向上，精益求精，我的思维也变得活跃起来，于是我成为了医院的工会文艺委员。这就是现在的我。 在数以千计的学生中，我演绎了聪明可爱，乐观向上的生活状态，同时，我也在成长中经历了一个个酸甜苦辣的场面。让我们在成长的旅途中勤奋学习，不要迷失自我，克服一切困难和阻碍，去努力实现自己的梦想吧!!

魏超，浙江大学宁波理工学院，2014级电子商务专业学生。在大学期间多次创业，曾创办校园租车服务平台超然机车。后偶然对传统ic卡，所存在的易污损，易丢失，支付繁杂的问题产生了思考。随后加入了智能手环定制商——捷飞科技，负责产品内容及市场发展定位工作。正式开始了用智能手环改造传统卡包的创业之旅。

George Dunn

Philosophy Teacher at the University of Indianapolis

George A. Dunn teaches philosophy at the University of Indianapolis and is a visiting lecturer at the Ningbo Institute of Technology. He has published five books dealing with philosophy and culture, with a sixth book to be published later this year. He is currently working on a book that will compare the classical philosophical traditions of China and the West.

Karen Newman

Assistant Professor of English at the University of Indianapolis/USA and Ningbo Institute of Technology

Dr. Karen L. Newman is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy)/USA. She completed her Ph.D. in language education at Indiana University, with specialties in foreign and second language teacher education and TESOL. Dr. Newman has lived, studied, and/or worked abroad for 20 years on four continents, and her teaching includes TESOL, British and American literature, and basic composition for nonnative speakers of English. Since 2012, she has traveled each spring semester to Ningbo, China, to teach in the Sino-U.S. Program, a joint-degree program between UIndy and Ningbo Institute of Technology. A frequent conference presenter, she has also offered classes and workshops on working with English learners for writing tutors, preservice teachers, middle and high school teachers, and college faculty members, including at Ohio State University, Pusan National University in Korea and Catholic University of Temuco in Chile.

Liang Cai

English Teacher at School of Foreign Language Studies, Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University

Cai Liang is Associate Professor at School of Foreign Language Studies, Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, where he teaches Intercultural Communication, and Intensive Reading for English majors, and has served as Deputy Dean of the School from 2014 till now. He got his Med in TESOL from Sydney University in 2005, and his Doctoral degree from Shanghai International Studies University in 2013. He was a visiting scholar at University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA from Aug. 2013 to Aug. 2014. He is currently doing his post-doc research in Zhejiang University. His main academic interest lies in Intercultural Communication, Entrepreneurship and Service-learning, focusing on integrating language teaching into community service. He is the initiator of a national brand project: Beyond the Voices, a project helping Ningbo expatriates for their cultural adaption, and the initiator of Yang Ming Academy in Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University.

具有七年材料和机械的背景，目前为宁波诺丁汉大学人机交互设计专业在读博士生，研究课题为信息偶遇现象在人们生活中的发生及其应用设计。曾多次参与国家级，省级项目的研究，目前主要参与国家青年科学基金项目——信息偶遇现象及其研究。多次参加国际性学术会议，包括人机和谐交互设计大会，用户体验大会等，并在与会时发表演讲及论述，相关研究成果在国内外期刊上均有发表。
