In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Nina Nelson

Student/Actor/Musician (Vocalist)/Writer
Nina Nelson is a senior at Saratoga High School. She doesn't define herself by one hobby or occupation, so here are her many interests: a theatrical and screen actress, songwriter, musician, performer, director, writer, unexpected calculus enthusiast, homemade filmmaker, and an a cappella group aspiree. Some of the people at TEDxSaratogaHighSchool have helped her grow in her many directions of interest. Needless to say, she has dabbled in many forms of art and the entertainment industry. She cannot wait to share the eye-opening information she has acquired from her experience of chasing a dream in one of the most cut throat, yet exhilarating businesses out there.
