Bryer Sousa
ryer Sousa is studying mathematics at the University of Southern Maine. He is the first ever recipient of the Davis Foundation $10,000 Projects for Peace grant, which he used to co-found Water for ME Foundation. He is a recipient of the Maine Campus Compact Heart and Soul Award. Bryer has also authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and a chapter of a forthcoming book as well as a memoir of Max Slabotsky.
Jennifer Gunderman-King
Jennifer Gunderman-King is a faculty member at UNE School of Community and Population Health. She has volunteered in the Peace Crops, where she focused on maternal and child health in Niger. Past experiences also include a career at Maine CDC, where she specialized in infectious disease.
Justin Chenette
Rep. Justin Chenette is serving his 2nd term in the Maine House of Representatives. He is a member of the Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee, co-chair of Legislature's bipartisan youth caucus, and continues his work as the Young Elected Officals Network's Maine state director. In 2012, he made history by becoming the nation's youngest openly gay legislator and Maine's youngest lawmaker at 21.
Nell Tharpe
Nell Tharpe was formerly the head maternal-child specialist at the Maine CDC and is the author of Clinical Practice Guidelines for Midwifery & Women's Health. Nell is well versed in and offers insight into issues involving the practitioner/patient interactions and its impact on patient outcomes.
Trevor Hughes
Trevor Hughes is the President and CEO of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He is an experienced attorney in privacy, technology and marketing law. He has provided testimony on privacy issues before several committees within the U.S. Congress, British Parliament and EU Parliament. He is also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Maine School of Law.
