JESS is proud to present it’s third live TEDx event entitled ‘Time’. This event will take place on Thursday 21st April 2016, 6pm to 8pm in the JESS Lecture Theatre (FC). Tickets are priced at 65AED and are limited to only 100 people and are sure to sell out fast. Guest speakers include Richard Dean from the hugely popular Dubai Eye Business Breakfast Show and Celebrity Stylist, TV Style Expert and Presenter Kelly Lundberg and Head of Music at Jumeirah English Speaking School, Howard Wong. Brendan O'Neill

Year 12 IB Student

Brendan is a year 12 student from Australia who spends his days pondering the why’s and how’s of the universe whilst he’s not doing what he can to help those around him. Often seen as an optimist Brendan looks for the good in everyone and searches for the best tomorrow.

Howard Wong

Head of Music

Howard Wong is the Head of Music at JESS. Before entering the teaching profession, he was an award-winning baritone from the UK. For over a decade, his varied career in Opera, Oratorio and Recitals has taken him to venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, The Wigmore Hall and other venues throughout the UK and overseas. He has also given lecture-recitals for institutions such as Cambridge University and adjudicated International Singing Competitions for organisations such as The Association of English Singers and Speakers. He now devotes all his energy to helping develop our future generation of musicians.

Kelly Lundberg

Celebrity Stylist, TV Style Expert & Presenter

Fashioning a highly successful cutting-edge empire in the fabulous world of style, Kelly Lundberg, renowned entrepreneur, keynote speaker and author, walks and talks the currency of catwalk and commerce alike. Edinburgh-born Kelly has established herself as one of the region’s key innovators and entrepreneurs. In 2005, she launched StyleMeDivine.com, a bespoke styling agency, which taps into the regional insight that women (and men) like to have help with choosing clothes, shoes and accessories. Kelly’s work spans the spectrum of global fashion and beauty; styling clients locally and internationally, training new stylists and presenting style segments on TV. She also has a two best-selling books and a successful podcast under her Hermès belt, as well as a thriving business, which she now manages on a day-to-day basis along with her fashion-forward team.

Richard Dean

Broadcaster, Presenter, Journalist and Author

Richard presents The Business Breakfast radio show on Dubai Eye 103.8FM, having spent 20 years as a journalist with Reuters, The Financial Times and The Economist. He's also a prolific public speaker, sharing a stage with legends from Sir Richard Branson to Malcolm Gladwell. Today, all that know-how is fuelling Richard's mission: to save the world from boring presentations. To that end, 2016 sees the release of his second book "Crowdpleaser: 100 Inside Secrets of the Great Public Speakers".

Sameeha is a Year 9 student at Jumeirah English Speaking School in Dubai. She has a huge personality as well as a love for creativity and talking.

Samira Jungen

Year 12 IB Student

Samira is a year 12 student from Switzerland who classes herself a true travel junkie having lived in Dubai for nearly 18 years. She is currently Head Girl at Jumeirah English Speaking School and aspires to make a difference in the world by working with people who are truly in need.
