This year we had a dynamic group of speakers and performers. The theme was LEAP where we wanted to take the community into the future to see some of the latest technologies and hear from thought leaders! It was fantastic!

Acro Fusion

Acro Fusion is a group of Cincinnati based performance artists specializing in the creative fusion of acrobatics, yoga, dance, and martial arts movements.

Brian Wells

Brian Wells is co-founder of Flashlight Entertainment. Brian oversees creative development and television packaging focused on broadcast, cable and digital entertainment for the whole family. After beginning his career in public affairs with Illinois Governor James R. Thompson, Brian worked for a decade in marketing at Procter & Gamble. His work has included movies, specials and series for NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and Hallmark Channel, including serving as Executive Producer on 15 movies for television. Outside of his work in entertainment, Brian has founded and led work to combat child trafficking in South Asia, resulting in over $4.5 million investment to-date in rescue and rehabilitation. In March, 2016 Brian’s first novel, The League And The Lantern became one of the most successful children’s novels by a debut author in Kickstarter’s history and released to wide acclaim from both kids and parents in May, 2016.

Chris Tur

Chris Tur’s career has largely followed a technology-driven path. From biomedical engineering, to naval aviation, to energy and now robotics, he lives on the front edge of innovation and challenging the status-quo. Of notable accomplishments throughout his career, Chris has been credited for leadership and combat performance with the U.S. Navy, was a leader on the development team of world’s fastest passenger ferry while with General Electric, and holds more than 10 patents in the field of Robotics. Chris is married with two children and in his off time volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. Chris "CJ" Lambert

Chris “CJ” Lambert is an extraordinary freelance guitarist and currently performs with a few bands based out of Cincinnati, OH. He is a rock/blues guitarist at heart but plays many styles and is a talented writer, producer and engineer as well. CJ has worked with several national & international artists & industry veterans in the studio and on the stage. He is the creator of The Musician’s Survival Guide, which is an info product developed to assist aspiring musicians in experiencing success in the music business. Elizabeth Wampler

Elizabeth Wampler is married to Steve Wampler, and together they have two teenaged children. In 2002, she and her husband, Steve founded the Wampler Foundation, a camp for kids with disabilities in northern California. Since that time, Elizabeth has been a champion for the enrichment of social connections between people who do and don’t have disabilities. Eric Darnell

Eric Darnell’s career spans 25 years as a computer animation director, screenwriter, story artist, film director, and executive producer. He was the director and screenwriter on all four films in the “Madagascar” franchise. He was also executive producer on “The Penguins of Madagascar.” Previously, Eric directed DreamWorks Animation’s very first animated feature film, “Antz”. Eric earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in experimental animation from The California Institute of the Arts. Eric Darnell is now the Chief Creative Officer of Baobab Studios Inc, the leading VR animation studio. His first VR animated film, Invasion! was the first VR film accepted as an official selection for the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. Harry Adelson, N.D.

Jason Mahr

Marcus E. Coleman

Marcus E. Coleman is a native of Cincinnati. He is a former Army Captain and Junior High School Teacher. Since 2008, he has been a practicing attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio. His areas of specialty are: Criminal Defense, Juvenile Matters, Education Law, and Personal Injury. Marcus is in the process of creating a non-profit organization focused on the empowerment of girls. He is also working on a book about the lives of the women in his family. Last but certainly not least, Marcus is a single father, haven raised his daughter, Indigo, and two nephews, Michael and Demitrius.

Mark Brasington

Mark Brasington is a talented guitarist & singer and performs with the Cincinnati based band The Chuck Taylors. They are a fun & engaging band that specialize in performing for weddings, corporate events, and limited public performances. The cover songs they play range from standards to loud, screaming rock and roll. Mark’s original CDs, White is Gray (2004) and Humor Implied (2000), have been met with critical local acclaim. In addition to Mark’s energetic and captivating stage presence, he has written and recorded custom music for several local, national & international commercials & videos. Mark has performed the National Anthem for the Cincinnati Reds twice and has been in love with Valerie Bertinelli since he was 5 years old.

Nat Chaitkin

Nat Chaitkin enjoys a wide-ranging career as a cellist, teacher and advocate for concert music. He is equally obsessed with Brahms and James Brown, and developed his solo program, Bach and Boombox, to help bring new audiences to classical music with the help of pop songs. In 2012, Nat was awarded the City of Cincinnati’s Artist Ambassador Fellowship, giving him the opportunity to reach underserved audiences in public spaces, including community centers, libraries and offices. Born and raised in New York City, Nat attended Juilliard and the University of Michigan, and later became a member of the “President’s Own” U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra. He also taught at Georgetown University and became a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He now teaches at CCM’s Prep Division and plays regularly with the Cincinnati Symphony. He is a member of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and the executive director of 4-Way, Cincinnati’s community-based string quartet.

Reese Jones

Reese Jones is a biophysicist, inventor, and entrepreneur. Reese has contributed to over a dozen silicon valley startups growth including IPOs and acquisitions including Farallon, Netopia, Smaato, Genome Compiler, Cambrian Genomics, and Singularity University. Ronald K. St. John, MD, MPH

Ronald K. St. John, MD, MPH, is the former Director General, Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response in the Public Health Agency of Canada. Dr. St. John is a physician who holds degrees from Yale University, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Harvard University School of Public Health. He retired after a 35-year career in public health and infectious disease control in two countries. In the USA, he held positions with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services. In Canada, he worked in the Department of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada. He also spent 10 years with the World Health Organization, Regional Office for the Americas, as Director for Infectious Disease Control in the Americas. Prior to his retirement, Dr. St. John was the first Director General for the Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Public Health Agency of Canada. www.sitata.com

Sid Thatham

Sid is working towards a master’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA at the University of Cincinnati while working part-time. There, he currently serves as the Vice President of the Graduate Student Government and is a student mentor & leader within several other student organizations. He is passionate about working with new people on new ideas & concepts. He enjoys talking about leadership, personal branding and social media. At Hyperloop UC, he oversees, directs and organizes the work of finance, operation, marketing and fundraising teams helping to establishing objective and priorities for the project. After his time at UC, he hopes to continue to be able to improve international student life in the US while pursuing a career in product and business development. Stephen Wampler

Stephen Wampler is a husband and father of two. He has the full use of only one limb, his right arm And yet.. He became the first person in the world with cerebral palsy to climb the face of El Capitan Mountain in Yosemite National Park.
